Valopaa LED light fixtures at Ekokortteli in Kempele, Finland

The VP1010 M8 LED street light fixtures were installed in September 2009 to the Ekokortteli (=eco block) in Kempele, Finland. At the Ekokortteli, the Valopaa lLED light fixtures provide area lighting in a playground and park area in the middle of the neighbourhood. The Ekokortteli includes 10 low energy houses, a small power plant that uses wood gas technology, a wind mill, and now also energy efficient led light fixtures. Ekokortteli isn't connected to the general power-distribution network. Instead, all necessary electricity is generated in the power plant and the wind mill within the neighbourhood.
The VP1010 M8 LED light fixture provides area lighting and is installed next to a soccer field.
